MEMORIAL HEADSTONE
June 16, 2010

We meet today, June 16, 2010, to dedicate a controversial memorial headstone. It has been strategically placed in this historic location, the Hyrum Smith Family Plot of the Salt Lake City Cemetery. The headstone rests on the last gravesite reserved for family members of Hyrum Smith, older brother of Joseph Smith Jr.
This is a controversial event, in part, because many members of the Smith family are not happy with the placement of this memorial headstone; and they are not happy that one day this family plot will include among deceased descendants of Hyrum Smith the remains of my client, Christopher Marc Nemelka.
My name is Rodney J. Vessels. I am Christopher’s personal legal counsel. He is not here today to speak for himself. I am authorized to make this public statement on his behalf.
The controversy over this memorial headstone at this particular gravesite is not just with members of the Smith family. It brings into question the claims and leadership of a wealthy and powerful church, headquartered here in this land of the Great Salt Lake, a church known by the misnomer, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. More broadly, this controversy brings into question the claims and leadership of all sects that take the names of Joseph and Hyrum Smith in vain and of all religions built on the vain and foolish imaginations of men.
My client did not start this controversy. It was started by the One whose name Mormons take in vain, by naming their church after Him, and by claiming it is based on His gospel.
Consider these words from the book of Hosea in the Old Testament of the Bible, which Mormons claim to accept as the word of God as far as it is translated correctly. These words are addressed to the modern “children of Israel,” whom Mormons claim to be, and to the land which they now occupy:
“Hear the word of the Lord, ye children of Israel: for the Lord hath a controversy with the inhabitants of the land, because there is no truth, nor mercy, nor knowledge of God in the land.” (Hosea 4:1; emphasis added.)
To memorialize this controversy, my client Christopher was instructed by those to whom he reports to acquire this gravesite, and to place this memorial headstone on it.
A memorial is an object to keep people in remembrance of a person or an event or an accomplishment. This headstone, however, is a memorial to a person, and an event, and an entire Work.
As transcribed on the headstone, Hyrum Smith was born February 9, 1800. He died a martyr with his younger brother, Joseph, at Carthage Jail, in Carthage, Illinois, on June 27, 1844. Just moments before the brothers were murdered, in the presence of Willard Richards and John Taylor, Joseph gave this prophecy concerning Hyrum: “One day it shall be you who will finish the mission that I could not during my lifetime.” (Without Disclosing My True Identity—The Authorized and Official Biography of the Mormon Prophet Joseph Smith Jr.; emphasis added.)
Christopher’s name appears on the headstone alongside Hyrum Smith’s, because Christopher was Hyrum Smith. This is a memorial, therefore, to Hyrum and to Christopher, as the same person.
As to the event memorialized by this headstone, we mark this day as the 23rd anniversary of a historic visitation. On this day, June 16, 1987, Joseph Smith, now resurrected, appeared to Christopher, ironically, in the Salt Lake Temple of the LDS Church, in a room where the Quorum of the Twelve alleged apostles of the LDS Church meet.
Let me repeat:
Twenty three years ago today, Joseph Smith appeared to his brother, friend, and fellow servant, Hyrum Smith, now incarnated as Christopher Nemelka, and commissioned him to finish the Work he could not finish himself, in fulfillment of the prophesy given by Joseph just before his martyrdom.
This headstone, therefore, is also a memorial to that Work, a Work long anticipated under the name, Marvelous Work and a Wonder®. This is the name of the Work of those advanced human beings responsible for our existence. It is a name now legally protected by Christopher as a federally registered trademark under the laws of the United States of America.
The LDS Church is on notice that they can no longer claim to be associated with the Marvelous Work and a Wonder®. Its leaders and members, in fact, are in opposition to it; and, if they continue to fight against it, they will one day find themselves on the left hand of the One ultimately who leads this controversy. It is a controversy that will continue until only this Work is left standing.
Admittedly, Christopher has made extraordinary claims concerning this Work. Well does the skeptic demand that “extraordinary claims require extraordinary proof.”
As Christopher’s legal representative, I will now offer the extraordinary proof of his claims. Unfortunately, skeptics will dismiss it, unless they become as little children and open their eyes to see and their ears to hear, and their hearts that they may be penetrated with truth.
First, I offer as proof the books of this Marvelous Work and a Wonder®. I proclaim to the world that out of the real truth found in these books all the inhabitants of the earth will be judged, according to their works, as their works are compared with this Work.
The first book published by Christopher, in 2004, was The Sealed Portion—The Final Testament of Jesus Christ. He translated the Sealed Portion from the same gold plates from which Joseph Smith translated the unsealed portion, published in 1830 as the Book of Mormon.
Christopher’s translation was accomplished using the same instruments used by Joseph and other true messengers to translate ancient writings. These instruments are two opaque quartz rocks, known in religious vernacular as the Urim and Thummim.
In terms of modern understanding and technology, these ancient, but highly advanced, instruments act in tandem like a cell phone. The authorized receiving party can place these stones over a passage of ancient text and receive communication from an advanced human being in another part of the universe, who has the knowledge and capability to respond with a proper translation or explanation.
Christopher has possession of the Urim and Thummim. The LDS Church does not. In any event, they will only work in Christopher’s hands. Try as he might, Thomas S. Monson, the current president and professed prophet of the LDS Church, would not be able to get them to work.
The LDS Church could have avoided this controversy. Christopher gave the First Presidency of the church the opportunity to publish the Sealed Portion, instead of him. But they refused.
Consequently, the controversy continues, and today it deepens. The so-called prophets, seers and revelators of the LDS church will come to realize Christopher’s prediction that their rejection of his offer would be “the beginning of the end of their pride and their glory. They will see this work come forth to the world and it will mark the beginning of the demise of the current Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and the wickedness and hypocrisy of its leaders and members.” (Appendix 1, The Sealed Portion—The Final Testament of Jesus Christ.)
In 2004, Christopher also published a re-translation of a portion of the gold plates represented by the first 116 pages of the original manuscript of Joseph Smith’s translation of the Book of Mormon. These pages were stolen when entrusted to a scribe, Martin Harris.
The Book of Lehi—The Lost 116-Page Manuscript was delivered to the First Presidency of the LDS Church as evidence of Christopher’s possession of the plates and of the Urim and Thummim, and of his authority to translate the Sealed Portion.
When the leadership of the LDS Church rejected this book, as well as the Sealed Portion, they did not merely reject Christopher; they also rejected Joseph Smith, who they claim as ”their” prophet.
In 2006, Christopher next published 666, The Mark of America—Seat of the Beast; The Apostle John’s New Testament Book of Revelation Unfolded. This book offers in plain English the true interpretation of this seemingly impossible-to-understand book of scripture. It describes in meticulous detail the marvelous destiny of the human race; for the book of Revelation, in truth, is not a book about future destruction and other judgments of a vindictive god. In contrast, it is a message of love and of hope and of the ultimate salvation of all humankind.
In 2008, Christopher next published Sacred, Not Secret—The Official Guide In Understanding The LDS Temple Endowment. Mormons waste away years of their lives in their opulent temples in the performance of symbolic rituals, ordinances and ceremonies, seeking in vain to endow themselves with “power from on high” and to be favored by their god, doing work for themselves and for their dead, which they and their dead do not need.
Members of the LDS Church do not understand the symbolism of the endowment. And their leaders don’t have a clue how to explain it to them.
In simplicity and completeness, this book offers all the answers concerning the meaning and truth behind this symbolism to confused Mormons and their confused leaders. It can do so because Joseph, who established the endowment, worked directly with Christopher to explain it. The sacred/not secret explanations given are for the benefit of the whole world, not just for those who have the economic means to pay admission to their costly and showy temples.
This Work’s most recent publication, HUMAN REALITY—Who We Are and Why We Exist!, was published last November. It offers a full disclosure of all the mysteries of human life and existence, but free from religious jargon. Whether we are religious, atheistic, agnostic, scientific or philosophical in our frame of mind, this book reveals the real truth concerning the universe and our existence at the center of it.
We learn that human beings have always existed in the universe, and that each of us lived for billions of years before coming to this earth.
We also learn why we came to this earth, after being raised by advanced human beings in a perfect world. We could not appreciate the perfect setting in which we lived, without first experiencing a less-advanced human world, an imperfect world—the world in which we now live.
The HUMAN REALITY book answers all of life’s questions, leaving none on which to speculate or remain confused. It provides complete and comprehensive answers to every question concerning human reality. Everything needed to understand who we are and why we exist can be found in this book.
Two forthcoming publications will further establish the authority of Christopher and the work of the Marvelous Work and a Wonder®:
The book, The Light of the Moon—The Plain and Precious Words of the Ancient Prophets, will provide the correct translation and meaning of words of true messengers referenced in the Old Testament, including the prophet Isaiah. Through this book, the Old Testament will finally make complete sense to the sincere seeker of truth.
The book, Without Disclosing My True Identity—The Authorized and Official Biography of the Mormon Prophet Joseph Smith Jr. will finally put to rest any misconception of who Joseph was and the Work in which he was engaged. It will answer every question about the beginnings of Mormonism, including the controversies surrounding polygamy, blacks and the priesthood, and male priesthood authority. It is being written by Christopher under the direction of Joseph himself.
I have offered the books of this Marvelous Work and a Wonder® as extraordinary proof of Christopher’s extraordinary claims. Additional extraordinary proof is found in the presentation of the ONLY PLAN that governments could implement now to eliminate poverty and inequality throughout the world. This plan is offered through the Worldwide United Foundation, established by Christopher under the direction of advanced human beings who know how to solve all of humankind’s problems. The plan is given to us so that, united, if we will, we can solve together our own problems, created by our own inhumanity.
No politician, no philosopher, no scholar, no cleric, no pundit, no expert, not one person who has ever lived on this earth, has ever produced a plan that would end poverty and inequality, without impeding the freedom that humans hold dear. If considered and implemented, the plan of the Worldwide United Foundation would do this. None who has considered this plan can reasonably and with integrity make a claim that it would not work.
This plan, together with the books of this Marvelous Work and a Wonder®, are extraordinary proof that Christopher acts with authority, under the direction of advanced human beings. Christopher continually receives their guidance and direction, through the Urim and Thummim and from personal face-to-face interactions that occur in reality, rather than through imagination or fabrication.
No other mortal can claim to act with such real authority. Specific, profound examples of those whom Christopher knows personally and on an intimate basis include the following:
- John, the apostle, also known as John the Beloved, who has remained on the earth since the days of Christ and worked directly with Christopher to provide the world with a correct translation and interpretation of the book of Revelation.
- The Three Nephites, the disciples of Christ referenced in the Book of Mormon, who like John have tarried on the earth to serve this Work. Christopher knows by name: Timothy (the brother of Nephi), and the brothers Mathoni and Mathonihah, of Lamanite decent.
- Moroni, the last true messenger to write in the Book of Mormon, and the resurrected being who appeared to Joseph to call him to his work of translation, just as the resurrected Joseph appeared to Christopher to call him to his.
- Mahonri (otherwise known as the brother of Jared), the true messenger whose amazing story was told by Moroni in his abridgment of the writings of Ether in the Book of Mormon.
- And, even more profoundly, the very Overseer of our solar system, known to the world as—Jesus the Christ, under whose direction Christopher acts.
Finally, I offer perhaps the most astounding of all of the EXTRAORDINARY PROOF of Christopher’s claims. It is found in the individual lives of those who have embraced this Work, with a sincere heart, and with real intent, and who have applied what they have learned from this Work to find peace and happiness in their lives.
These people will become witnesses and judges of those who have no interest in truth, who prove to themselves that they do not have eyes that see, or ears that hear, or hearts that can be penetrated with truth.
One of these witnesses and judges is with us today. Her name is Ida Smith. Ida is Hyrum Smith’s great, great granddaughter. As the current matriarch of the Hyrum Smith Family, she transferred to Christopher legal ownership of her own gravesite in this Smith family plot, the last available gravesite, that this memorial may stand as a witness of the truths she now embraces. As a result, she lost the affection and affiliation of other members of the Smith family.
Ida was once a very prominent member of the LDS Church, intimately involved with top-ranking members of the church’s hierarchy. She was personally responsible for the establishment of the Women’s Research Institute at Brigham Young University and was continually involved in promoting the rights and equality of LDS women worldwide.
Ida has lived through the administrations of ten LDS Church presidents. From the time of Heber J. Grant to Thomas S. Monson, Ida has witnessed their work. She has received their counsel and has given counsel to them. She has the experience and expertise to know the difference between a man who is a true messenger and prophet of God, and one who is not.
After investigating Christopher’s extraordinary claims, and, after all of her years and experiences involving LDS general authorities, Ida now proclaims, without any doubt, that she had never met a true prophet—UNTIL she met Christopher, who she now knows once lived and served this Work as Hyrum Smith.
Ida will be known in history, throughout all generations of time, “as one of the greatest protectors and progenitors of her great, great grandfather’s true legacy.” (Without Disclosing My True Identity—The Authorized and Official Biography of the Mormon Prophet Joseph Smith Jr.)
Nothing on this earth could have caused Ida to leave the LDS Church, unless what she discovered through Christopher proved to be something so convincing, so incredible, and of such immense value, that she would be willing to take the chance of losing her eternal salvation, according to the doctrine of the LDS Church.
The false doctrine of the LDS Church sustains this controversy. We declare that this memorial was purposefully placed within the boundaries of one of the most sacred and revered sites of the LDS faith because nothing, not one thing, about the LDS Church, its doctrine, its beliefs, and system of worship, is real truth. It is the epitome of vain and foolish imaginations.
But this controversy is greater than the LDS Church; for all churches and all religions originate in the vain and foolish imaginations of the imperfect human mind. And yet, imagining something does not make it true.
True messengers are those who know the truth, because they receive it directly from advanced human beings, not through the imaginations of their mind, but literally, through real face-to-face communication.
Christopher Marc Nemelka is a true messenger. Only Christopher can answer every question concerning who we are and why we exist. His answers ring true in the hearts and minds of those who are seeking for truth and who are not deceived by the false religions and philosophies of men mingled with scripture.
And, therefore, we dedicate this headstone, before witnesses such as Ida Smith, and under the all-searching eyes of those advanced human beings who oversee this Work, and who will one day come and end all controversy, as a memorial that will shine forth to the future generations, as a marker, an ensign, of real truth.
Those who embrace the real truth of this Marvelous Work and a Wonder® will liberate their minds and set themselves free. In marvelous and wondrous ways, they will be free to be who they really are, and to pursue happiness, which is why they really exist!
Yes, these TRULY are EXTRAORDINARY CLAIMS; but now you have EXTRAORDINARY PROOF!
