Every human is born with self-awareness and the ability to reason, correctly called selfishness, these human tendencies or characteristics together comprise respectively the “essence” which creates individuality of experience and existence, while reasoning maintains it.
Humans are not born with aspirations, beliefs, knowledge, facts, forms, formulas, opinions, prejudices, judgments, traditions, standards or symbols etc. These are acquired as individuals grow and make decisions and choices, acting upon their environment and being acted upon, all in the basic pursuit of maintaining self-awareness and individuality.
No scientific field, study or expertise has existed with any measureable understanding or ability to confirm the existence of the human essence, even though humans have always contemplated and continuously wondered and questioned after the answers all humanity seeks to know of our individual Human Reality; Who We Are and Why We Exist.
For this reason alone, humans have concocted, created and invented myriads of formulas in efforts to explain, measure, quantify, qualify and generally try to understand themselves and their existence. Formulas, meaning rules, forms and methods, take shape as academia, mathematics, religions, and sciences etc., each attempting to provide humanity with rational answers to life’s pressing, seemingly unanswerable questions. Even our governments’ ostensibly have been created to help us improve our individual pursuit of maintaining self-awareness and individuality.
As an example, ancient scientists proclaimed a flat earth, even providing mathematical equations and symbols, such as maps showing where the world ends, as evidence or proof of a completely incorrect belief. Clerical leaders and the religiously interested have for ages offered malevolently fantastical doomsday explanations for the Book of Revelations. All previously bewildering expositions now proven wrong by the undeniably sensible explanation in 666 The Mark of America Seat of the Beast. Another example, Pro-Life supporters struggle, violently at times, against abortion providers believing that ‘life begins at conception”, based on generally accepted, yet unproven false fact.
To understand how people tenaciously adhere to such incorrect thinking, beliefs or standards, recall the core role reasoning plays in maintaining individuality.
Much heated and tense debate is again occurring over health care reform. Global unrest and protesting grow daily. Sociologists are finding the cause is the human illogical & irrational thought process. Sociologists conclude the problem is “people often work backward from a firm conclusion to find supporting facts, rather than letting evidence inform their views.”
“A totally rational person would lay out-and evaluate objectively-the pros and cons of a health care overhaul” (or anything that might affect self-awareness & individuality) “before choosing to support or oppose a plan.” S. Hoffman professor of Sociology University of Buffalo. The professor also states that people form (notice that word again) deep attachments to their beliefs that get wrapped up in their identity and sense of morality (another formula) irrespective of the facts and use backward reasoning justifying their beliefs to keep their sense of personal and social identity.
Christopher M. Nemelka states this same phenomenon in regards to the Marvelous Work And Wonder® this way; “people formulate the opinion that it is wrong, and then search for the conclusions of WHY it can be proven that it is.”
In simpler terms, people don’t like to be wrong or to accept that they are incorrect, particularly when it comes to the MWAW, in spite of the overwhelming evidence to the contrary. Many people have found the MWAW and many will find it in the future only to reject its truthfulness for reasons personally known and important only to them- no amount of evidence, proof, witness or teaching will change their minds because they choose to keep their formulas and backward reasoning. Thus, our individual egos are the measure of our humanity and justly gauge our reactions and actions of free will.
Mr. Hoffman states everybody is vulnerable to hanging onto their beliefs in spite of contrary evidence because it is amazingly challenging to constantly break our world views and belief systems. Yet it can be done if a person will become as a child; gentle, pliant, able to be instructed. All children react to their environment in search of happiness. This happiness is a self-fulfillment of the needs of both the physical body and the emotional cognitive (thinking) requirements every child already possesses when born into this world.
There is great power, if applied to the adult self, in the words of the Christ to become as a little child – discarding useless aspirations, beliefs, knowledge, facts, forms, formulas, opinions, prejudices, judgments, traditions, standards or symbols etc. in order to fulfil our ultimate purpose – we are born to be happy and how we treat others is simply a reflection of our own measure of humanity.
