Growing Hopeless

Growing Hopeless

According to a news report one of the world’s largest refugee camps in Kenya has housed up to 400,000 people, most of them have fled there from their own homes because of famine. To see pictures of the desert dust bowl that is the camp one instantly knows the people there aren’t much better off.

Yet, the women there do whatever they must to feed themselves and their children. Some of them actually grow vegetable gardens in that god-forsaken piece of earth carrying up to 15 containers of water, one woman’s has her eight children help her, everyday to keep the plants alive and growing. After all their labor the families get to keep some of their meager harvest, but sell most of it.

What a world!

Growing up, I wondered why it was that people around me were so poor and why should I have so much, never knowing what its like to go hungry, homeless or without lifes luxuries– it never made any sense.

Now, I know why famine, poverty, disease, war, economice upheaval and every other human misery exits– We the People create and grow All the hopelessnes in this world.

We are winning the reward there is for imperfection. I can smile and cry at the same damn time.

Pioneers; Stuck in a Rut.

July 24th 2011 [& 25th this year] will celebrate a religious based event for the LDS/Mormon church from which the whole state now commemorates the entry of Brigham Young [it's a state holiday in Utah: county offices, except emergency services, educational institutions, of which many businesses are also closed] and the first group of Mormon pioneers into Utah’s Salt Lake Valley in 1847, 164 years ago. “This day celebrates the bravery of the original settlers and their strength of character and physical endurance.”[1] Yet the origins of the word would perpetuate to this very day – an early 1520 description of the word calls a pioneer as the ”foot soldier who prepares the way for the army”[2]

Although this may not have been the original inference of the holiday, Utah is still very proud of their participation in supporting the various militaries that circumvent our communal globe, it is no small feat to train under such conditions as they do and be expected to do what they do! But the purpose of what the militaries do hasn’t changed in thousands of years… they are stuck in a rut and think they must stay there!

Today and tomorrow many modern day Utah inhabitants will celebrate their own form of Pioneering, which includes BBQ’s, family gatherings, parades, fireworks and all the pride filled things that make them so happy about their ancestor’s accomplishments or even their current and future anticipated accomplishments! They are proud of the previous roads and think they will pave new roads all while continuing to travel down the same paths their pioneering ancestors have; they… are stuck in a rut and don’t realize it!

Around the Nation, around the world, people are still… stuck in a rut. The battles rage across the globe. Fireworks and noise makers, not the pretend kind, are killing people constantly, no humane victories remain permanent – lives are being lost as they have been for thousands of years and will continue far into the future to be lost unless we get out of the rut we’re in… The whole round wheel in space called earth is… stuck in a rut and wants out, but they don’t know how!

Rut’s in a road keep the wheels stuck down a tried and well traveled path – it may not be the only path to the destination but it is one people have chosen to continually use, often for many many years. Ruts are found in heavily traveled roads that have not been sufficiently paved to allow complete freedom of movement. Picture a horse and covered wagon going over the same road, rain and mud, sun and heat again and again and again, year after year century after century- the run for the wheels gets deeper and deeper until one of a few options options happen; 1) They pit themselves, they bottom out because the ruts are too deep and can travel no further. 2) They fill in the ruts and choose to pave the road. 3) They choose a different path.

The United States government overall… is stuck in a rut! Budget vs. deficit vs. spending or not spending, a financial rut if ever there was one! If we want to get out of the financial rut we’re in, we need to fill in the ruts, and pave the road or choose a different path.

The International Anti-Inflation Law (I.A.L) can pave the way for the world to get out of the rut it finds itself stuck in. The I.A.L. can pave the way for people to have their basic needs met- one example, it would fill in the ruts where people have tried for thousands of years to eliminate their enemies because… they would cease to exist! Militaries around the globe, fulfilling the life saving needs of humanity could feel that pride, knowing they have killed the greatest enemies that plague our world; inequality, starvation in all its forms, hopelessness even fear and desperation, victorious over the ruts that have held mankind in its path of circles instead of true destination.

The US government is stuck in a rut of what to do about their annual budget- should they default? Should they borrow more and dilute the further perceived values they create for We the People? What will they do? The problem is simply “the money”- it’s not a water well gone dry, it is not something they have no control over nor is it something we can’t live without, however, like children who stubbornly refuse to listen, they do not want to give the simplest answer, implementing the I.A.L, a try, and thus… they will dig deeper and further the ruts in the road that travel in circles holding humanity back; they… are stuck in a rut.

Pioneers are only noted if others follow or learn from their mistakes or accomplishments. Today, the word Pioneer when referencing those who are Pioneers in their own right are those who are advancing science in a new direction, medicine to heal in a direction not previously thought of, weapons of even greater mass destruction; being a pioneer is great for ones ego, but unless it advances our humanity towards one another, we are just digging the ruts deeper for one another, pitting ourselves, and not even realizing it.

If a new medicine is being researched- it typically costs a great deal of money to do so, and who will ultimately pay for it? If a new weapon is created, it also typically costs a great deal of money to develop; who will ultimately pay for it? The US government is paying for things that are not paving the roads to what its main purpose is which is to serve the people and provide for their general welfare. Instead, it’s digging the ruts deeper making the endless loop harder to escape.

Having the I.A.L put into place would immediately begin filling in the holes, pits and ruts of our human existence, even Advancing our Humanity as a whole. The concept is so easy to put in place even a pioneer can comprehend i! It takes the simplest of financial math and adds 1% a year- no more ruts can be followed nor pits dug deeper by hyper inflation or excess greed, the economy stabilizes overall while encouraging growth and our modern day pioneers to move our world technologically further forward freeing us to travel wherever true freedom allows us!

The ruts one travels, we all travel, even if we do so in our ignorance. The roads we pave or don’t pave, we do or don’t do for all, we don’t do so in our ignorance we do so in our communal humanity. The inequality of our mutual humanity undermines the quality of all of us. Supporting the I.A.L would greatly improve the quality of our mutuality humanity which then directly supports the quality of the Individual.

Enabling the International Anti-Inflation Law would pave the circular rut laden road we’ve been traveling for too long. Let us all make our way to the easy road of advancing our humanity; that we may take our feet, our covered wagons, our fancy sports cars, our microscopes, submarines or rocket ships in the very same rut free direction everyone wants to go- Endless Happiness!

A Fathers Day, May Still Be Possible

Another Father’s Day has come and gone – and yet tradition, steeped in vanity, still provides accolades to the fathers of the world for a responsibility left unfinished after hundreds, if not thousands of years.

The mass majority of our societal problems are tied to our fathers not freely providing the most basic requirements for their children’s safety and lifelong happiness; even that of a working government which can then be passed on generation after generation. A government that would in perpetuity provide as it’s purpose for existence, the very foundational basic necessities of life, for All of us; food, clothing, shelter and health care which are needed, not just for children, but through the entirety of our lives in order that we may pursue, without harming another by taking something away from their pursuit, anything that makes anyone of us happy.

The Founding Fathers, of the U.S. of America, as they are commonly referred to, which also means by inference that we are their children, gave us as an inheritance, even their own Declaration of Independence – (A document declaring the US to be independent of what they saw as a failed British Government) but then failed to give us an actual Declaration of Non-dependence on the very causes of their wanting to leave in the first place.

The Founding Fathers then set up a new government of their own liking; becoming independent of their previous rulers, yet instead of setting up true & lasting freedom, they created future indentured generations for the very people their Declaration of Independence says it is created for, their families, their children, even, We The People, into similar circumstances in which they opposed and fought against to leave; only We The People, have no place else to go. As dysfunction often does, we either need to recognize the problem and fix what we have or live with it as it is, unfinished and breaking down into further dysfunction.

If growing fruit from a tree required actual “money” to produce the fruit a person eats- we would have an excuse as to why people are not being fed daily.

If building a house actually required “money” to construct the floors, walls or roof’s- we might have an excuse why we haven’t provided shelter for anyone who wants it.

If producing clothing actually required “money” to produce the threads that create the cloth, then we again could have an excuse for anyone not being able to have them.

If healing a person actually required “money” to be placed over open wounds to be healed then of course, we could have an excuse as to why they weren’t healed.

So is “money” the excuse we’ll continue to give our children and grand children and great grand children as to why there are so many starving people in the world? We simply can’t continue to use money as the excuse – a child understands this principle, money is not like water; water satiates thirst – money cannot satiate thirst, give a thirsty child the choice and see why we should know better by now.

However, because the majority of our world thinks money is just as critical to life as water, or food, or clothing, or shelter or health care or education, even prison reform, then we have even less of an excuse! The Plan of the WUF gives us a no-excuse way in which we can incorporate all the money ever needed to eliminate these dependencies and create a non-dependence on money while still incorporating what the wealthy enjoy most- being wealthy and the luxuries it can bring!

A Father’s wish for his children is that they might learn from the lessons of life and thus learning from them, be happy even all the remaining days of their lives.

As “Families” are so important to the people of the earth – even most seem willing to kill one another to prove that fact, perhaps once we learn that their family is just as important as your family and mine, yours, mine and ours, maybe once we look at each other as fellow siblings from the same earth’s family and recognize we are of one global family – We Are “The People” we can then make sure all come and dine around the plentiful table – none missed nor ignored nor overlooked nor sent to their room.

Maybe one day those who lead our countries will put away their petty excuses and realize money is just a tool they can use to get their familial goals accomplished- even provide for their children, even their global children with whom they have taken a vow to love and to honor and to support, then… a true Fathers Day it will be when that lesson has been learned and taken to heart and lived as We The People should.

Politicians of the world, this is your chance to finish early what our forefathers have started and failed to do; you have the time, talent, Plan and resources before you to make it a real Fathers Day gift for All of us.

Let He Who Is Without Hope, Cast The First Coin

Let he who is without hope, cast the first coin – wait, what? Let he who is without hope… cast the first coin…? Hmmm…, or maybe it’s; Let he who is without coin, cast the first hope!

Biblical scriptures speak of the value of a certain poor widow, and she threw in two mites into the treasury of the temple and many that were rich cast in much. The point was being made that the two mites were of more value than the “much” dropped in from the wealthy who “did cast in of their abundance; but she of her want did cast in all that she had, even all her living“, essentially giving ”all that she had” while the wealthy gave more but not as much by comparison.

Perhaps the “mites” were a sort of extremely precious metals or a rare form of money? Well the Home Shopping Network doesn’t place much value in it [1] – $29.95 buys you a 2000 year old not so precious, probably bronze, burnt piece of dirt looking like a coin we imagine came from history - either way, it certainly hasn’t appreciated much. Yet the wealthy did cast in much, so it was obviously worth something; more to some and less to others, and yet the modern day equivalents of penny’s are still used to build the temples of today be they billion dollar shopping mall empires or little revival branches among the poor.

Utah is now the first state since 1971 to make “precious metals”, gold & silver, into actual legal currency. However that doesn’t mean you can run down to the local grocery store, pick up some bread and milk, pay with a $1,500 gold coin and expect to get a few hundred bronze mite’s in change back.

“The “Utah Legal Tender Act” took effect Tuesday, (31 May, 2011) changing how gold and silver are classified under the state tax code. Previously, gold and silver were classified as “assets” and therefore subject to state and capital gains taxes when exchanged for cash. Under the new law, silver and gold are now considered “currency,” and those tax issues are gone, at least in Utah. Federal taxes would still apply.” [2]

So let’s see- we have many currencies to choose from, we have dirty old ancient pieces of metal, all kinds of pretty colored paper currencies, newer metal currencies in gold or silver colors, we even have virtual currency (money that supposedly exists in the made from sand chips of computers) that we can’t actually touch, and of course there’s the infamous Fiat money which is simply money in whose value is not derived from any intrinsic value or guarantee that it can be converted into a valuable commodity; aka funny money; money we can pretend is valueable when we all know it really isn’t; kinda like the story of some emperor’s new clothes?[3].

In other words – this currency stuff comes from refined rocks or trees, i.e. minerals & dead trees. We still can’t run down to the local grocery store, pick up some bread and milk, pay with just any ol’ rock or piece of paper and expect to get change back, it has to be specially processed pieces of rock or trees, or else this money comes from the trust we as Human Beings put into it, I.e. the “Fiat money” which everyone knows is worthless in and of itself, yet we still all agree to play with it because without it a person cannot expect to survive in this world without it.

What is abundantly ignored and goes too often unspoken is that this means we’ve based our value we show for each other as less than an imaginary, childish passing thought or the very dirt in which we trample under our feet!

Coins originally start out as dirt- dug from the sands of the earth and cast into a crucible under extreme heat until all the impurities are either manually removed or burned off as waste. Metals are then pulled from cooled ingots and finally beaten into a form that forces the image into them- it’s an interesting process to watch [4], but I wouldn’t want to go through it; we’d never survive the process… and yet, this is similar in how we force people to be, those, the least of these among us, who cannot work to thrive like the wealthy who often do not have to actually labor, are forced to do so or starve.

What was the widow who made such an impression doing when she gave all that she had to the coffers of the temple? Perhaps, she was like the poor of today, having no hope for ‘her today’ yet hoping that the day would eventually come when she would see life would be more of a haven from her or her childrens toils while the wealthy were already here enjoying theirs- one had placed all her hopes in an unknown potentially obtainable future while the others were seemingly living it and further hope(d) they would be able to continue in such abundance, enjoying their wealth and status.

The Plan of the WUF still allows the wealthy to cast in much as they want into whatever they want to, for whatever reasons they want to. The WUF Plan also allows the poor to cast in everything they have, if they want to, into whatever they want to do, too! The difference is, the WUF Plan doesn’t deprive people of everything, in fact it sets up a propetual reception for all of mankind’s previous prodigal spending!

Like so many children-adult board games out there, the WUF Plan does allow everyone to enjoy starting out of what they need to start, play and continually play the game; only in the WUF game, there are no losers no one can ever run out of the basic necessities of life- Food, Clothing, Shelter, Health Care, to continue playing the game of life… so if they ever find themselves in abundance or abject poverty – they will NEVER be without.

Seems the WUF plan has been brought to us by those who don’t care about the casting of coins one way or another – but what they have cast forth is a plan, refined by the hope of humanity that sooner or later, preferably sooner, that will work. Without it there is only despair for the rich, the poor, the bond or even the free.

Simply put, we cannot reach our Human potential if we continue treating one another, as less value… than dirt.

Twisting Our Own Fate For A Change

With the annual return of the US tornado season, blowing in unwanted and uninvited, this season seems to be competing for some of the most aggressive natural destructions in recent history.

The destruction continually being shown by the news media, now replacing those of the recent earthquakes in Japan,  is staggering! For those on the ground who managed to survive it’s sure to be an experience not soon forgotten as normalcy will not return soon enough, yet for those not personally involved will quickly be mentally dismissed. It’s like seeing a car wreck on the side of the road, first we slow down – then stare – then begin to speed up “cautiously” but sure enough we’ll soon be speeding again to make up for the time we perceptively lost.

In Joplin and other recent tornado driven distructions, like Hurricane Katrina and the many disasters before that, the US government has begun moving in and declaring lots of disaster areas one by one. Next has begun the process to creatively use different funding rules for reestablishing the displaced residents back into replacement homes and reparations to their damaged infrastructure, essentially helping put them on a road to an existence they remember; at least the ones who will qualify or aren’t excluded for reasons governments or insurance companies would love to exclude all payments from; the fine print or acts of god.

Joplin alone is estimating to be around 3 Billion in repairs – while Katrina & the forgotten Rita behind it were estimated over 100 Billion dollars for the repairs while Japan will cost over 300+ Billion to repair!

Yet “Money” is both the tool for rebuilding and the roadblock to getting started. Money in and of itself is a terrible building material, it is not even as efficient as common desert sands which can be ground up, heated and glass for countless useful objects be created. Yet without the money, without being paid, the majority of our local or global neighbors will simply not do the work to make the repairs and improvements.

Which brings the beauty of the plan of the WUF into light- it’s so simple; let people be paid what they want while getting the jobs done. Virtually it is the same money that’s created out of thin air to make these governmental promises that can be used  in the same way to initiate the plan. As long as the International Anti-Inflation Law (I.A.L) is in place it will prevent any runaway spending and devaluing of the dollar; it’s a simple twist on paying the bills.

Remember, we are the ones who set values on each other and on the resources of the earth – We control how much money is printed to represent these values, We can print as much money as needed to support human life- the same way the US government will be doing in the coming day, weeks, months and years ahead to cover the disasters that nature continues to dish out on us.

It makes sense that the more money that is made available; the more chance there is that it will be spread proportionately among all the people of the earth according to their wants-as their needs will already be provided for. Enabling the I.A.L. is the piece overlooked – it is critical to stabilize the world’s money markets and allow the printed money to spread to all the people that want it for their wants.

Why not put the twist on nature and the failled direction we’ve previously taken for tens of decades now; putting money into it but not fixing the problems. Let nature continue to dish out all it can while we happily and globally use the intellectual resources available to us to create homes that can withstand natures worst. Why not let it cost whatever it costs to build and make sure everyone has the same safe homes to live in wherever they might like to live in the world and why not let people feel safe and happy within their homes without fear that if their home is destroyed, they won’ be destroyed financially if they are fortunate enough to survive.

With a twist of our pens we all can change our fate; we can sign into political office, leaders that would support the WUF, it’s I.A.L and goal of assisting humanity reach it’s highest potential of human happiness. Or, we can sit still and leave things as they continue to be; stressed, national debts in the trillions, wars, terrible crime, poverty, inequality in the extreme, homelessness, starvation and continual worries to pass on to our children’s children’s children… Come On Baby… let’s declare the blues away… sing it with me, in the words of Chubby Checker, Let’s Do The Twist… Together!
